Evann Lavender
Do you struggle with overthinking and feel disconnected from your emotions and your physical body?
Do you struggle with your identity and what you want in life?
Did you have a difficult childhood where you felt unsafe, unimportant, and not good enough?
You are not alone.
If you have been carrying the weight of past experiences, feeling stuck or disconnected from your own heart, you are not alone. I specialize in helping individuals heal from the past, regulate their emotions, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and those in their life. This isn’t traditional therapy and we won’t just sit and talk endlessly about your struggles without doing something about them. If this sounds like you and you are ready to do the work for real change in your life, I am here to support you on your journey.
With years of experience in trauma recovery and emotional health, I understand how difficult it is to feel stuck. With my own lived experience, training, and education, I want to be your guide to finding yourself again and empowering you to become who you were meant to be. My holistic approach supports clients in creating change, helping you build emotional resilience and find peace. You will gain the tools and insights needed to stop repeating the same emotional patterns and take control of your life. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters of Social work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a certified Yoga Teacher, and an EMDRIA Certified Therapist.
I am committed to providing a welcoming and safe space for individuals of all cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and life experiences. I value and honor the unique perspectives and needs that each person brings, and my approach is grounded in respect for diversity, inclusivity, and equality. This is a safe space for you to be heard, understood, and to heal.

Evann’s SESSIONS
I offer virtual one on one therapy sessions to adults, and various in person classes and workshops at The Y-ville Well. I believe healing is a personal journey, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. That is why I offer an approach that is as unique as you are. By taking an integrative approach to therapy, combining modalities such as: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Upon request, I also integrate other alternative and complimentary interventions such as Yoga and Human Design. **Please note: I do not offer full model DBT.
EMDR
EMDR uses “Bilateral Stimulation- such as side to side eye movements or self-tapping- to help the brain reprocess and reduce distress related to traumatic memories and negative self beliefs.
IFS
IFS is a therapeutic model that views every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts guided by a core Self. It teaches that the mind is naturally multiple. IFS helps people access their undamaged, compassionate Self, which knows how to heal, and from that inner leadership, understand and transform their parts, fostering both inner and outer connectedness. DBT
DBT skills focus on helping clients improve mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills, and increase their ability to navigate conflict within their relationships.
human design
“Human Design offers a revolutionary framework for understanding yourself on a deeper level than ever before. It's not just another personality assessment, it's a synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern science that reveals your unique genetic blueprint for navigating life.” Source: https://tinyurl.com/bd3r4fxa
